Fiona has been photographing professionally since 2007, focusing on catching the everyday in a fashion that may not otherwise be noticed, as well as photographing people and events. She was introduced to photography over ten years ago by her grandfather, a prolific amateur photographer and longtime fan of such greats as Ansel Adams, adding her own style to the technical qualities she picked up from him and from studying the photography greats of the 20th century. Fiona specializes in candid photography, a camera always quick at hand to catch those fleeting moments of emotion; she also focuses on landscape and macro photography, displaying the mundane from a viewpoint that may not have been seen before. She also has formal studio training, perfect for gorgeous formal wedding and studio portraiture.

Her fiancé, Brandon, started shooting air shows on 35mm film in 2005, and has since branched out to cover a more broad spectrum of photography, researching new techniques in his free time. Brandon specializes in long exposure landscape photography (those soft river and creek pictures that merely hint at motion in the water), macro photography, and having a faster trigger finger than Fiona for capturing those emotional greats at events and when out on spontaneous photo shoots. Anything we’ve learned on our own has been shared and practiced so that we’re both capable of shooting with the same professional caliber.

FionaLorne Photography has a camera arsenal that includes the top two DSLR camera makers on the market – Fiona uses Nikon cameras with Nikkor lenses, Brandon uses Canon cameras with Canon lenses, ensuring that images are of the highest quality possible.
We shoot weddings, family portraits (pets included – or on their own!), senior photos, formal portraits, engagements, and baby photos (whether it’s a baby bump, first pictures, or anything else).
